The BWY Foundation course in May 2017
I’m really happy to announce that I will be running my third foundation course starting next May 2017 at the Bristol City Yoga studio. The last two courses were a real success and I enjoyed running the course but I decided to take some time off to give myself time to reflect.
One of the strengths of this foundation course is that it allows students time and space to learn about yoga in a supportive environment with similar minded people. Unlike many fast-tracked training courses, this course runs over ten months giving people enough time to absorb the knowledge properly.
The syllabus has been carefully selected by the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) to provide students with essential knowledge of yoga. The BWY is one of the largest and most reputable yoga membership organisations in the UK and was founded in 1965. They were awarded National Governing Body status by the then Sports Council in 1995.
The course emphasises personal development and large part of the course will be dedicated to establishing a balanced personal yoga practice. Students will also be asked to keep a regular yoga journal and complete some homework.
If you are interested in expanding your knowledge of yoga or are considering to teach yoga in the future, this course will be for perfect you. The perquisite for the course is minimum of two years group yoga class attendance or equivalent. Please take the time to check the course description and the syllabus carefully.
